A Threatening Note from Virginia

We constantly disagree with our kids over the amount of time we allow them to watch TV or play video games. Most recently, we came up with the rule that they could not watch TV after 7:00 PM. We felt they got churlish right before bed when we let them watch right up until bedtime. That did not sit too well with our 7 year old, Virginia. So she left us this note, signed by her, Graham, and Frank. Henry did not sign because he was already asleep. Russell did not sign because he cannot write.

I must confess that I have occasionally found you wierdly boring myself. Don't take that the wrong way.

A fantastic example of familial activism.

this letter has forever introduced the phrase "weirdly boring and totally unfair!!!" into the bada and flat 5 phrase-ology

famous hunger strikers: ghandi, women's suffragists, and virginia, graham, and frank revare.

Glad to hear that Virginia's brand of "family activism" (a new favorite phrase of mine, Skap) has jumped the Atlantic. Next it shall move to Eastern Europe, and eventually Asia, where it will liberate the world's youth. Children of the weirdly boring, unite!

I am sorry I called you wierdly boring, Steve. I think we should erase the comment and pretend it never was made.

You've made a good start for future Thanksgivings with everyone nervously sitting around the table, afraid that someone will bring up the forbidden topic. "No matter what - don't mention the 7:00 rule. Just pretend it never was made."

OK, now you've done it! The gloves come off! And what about the time you wouldn't let me and my friends take your BMW to Burning Man.
